Garden & Science Alive! At Theodore Judah, all student gets hands-on Garden and Science instruction every other week through PTA-funded Garden & Science Alive!
The PTA pays the salary of our Garden & Science Alive! coordinator, Ms. Tracey (Tracey Abernathy). The PTA also keep our Garden Shed stocked, funds our Science Lab, and purchases NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) integrated science curriculum - enabling kids to do hands-on gardening and science experiments during the school day.
Children visit the Garden or the Science Lab every other week. (Half the class is in the Garden with the Garden Docent while the other half is in the Science Lab with their teacher.)
Come check out our Garden and Garden Shed the next time you're on campus. Or stop by the Science Lab (Rm 20).
Because these programs exist, students get to dissect seeds, plant radishes, feed chickens and so much more!
